Central University continues to achieve great strides in its quest to provide holistic education to all who are interested in their service. Graduate study started out in Central University College in 1999 and the first batch of MBA graduate students were admitted in 2007. Hitherto, the graduate study was only done in Religious Studies. During the 2010/2011 academic year, the board of directors decided to establish the School of research and Graduate Studies to coordinate all graduate programmes in the University.

Admission Requirements
- The applicant must have obtained a good First Degree (Second Class at least) in an appropriate field of study from a recognized University
- Satisfy additional requirements which may be imposed by departments and faculties. eg. Work experience, interview, entrance examination
- Those intending to take on an MPhil or Research Masters Programme will be required to write a proposal 2-3 pages on the intended area of study.
- An applicant who possesses a first degree in the Third Class Division or Pass and who has at least three years working experience may also be considered for admission into the Taught Master’s degree programme. Such an applicant may be required to take preparatory courses and pass a written examination and interview before being considered for admission.
- An applicant who possesses a Taught Master’s degree (M.A. /MBA/M.Sc.) and wishes to enroll in an MPhil degree programme will be required to take additional relevant courses not exceeding 18 credit hours and present a thesis.
